Samsung S7 has now started to make the headlines for a few weeks now. According to a new report coming from the South Korea, Samsung is reportedly trying out an entirely new design language for their upcoming flagship device.
In fact the company is planning to ditch the aluminum glass design of the existing flagship S6 to opt for a magnesium alloy unibody design for the S7. This new move by the company is fairly surprising considering the fact that Samsung just introduced the aluminum glass design language with the Galaxy S6 last year. The same design language had further made its way to the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Note5 smartphones from the Korean giant.
However it is believed that the move is triggered by the use of Snapdragon 820 SoC used under the hood of the S7. Samsung is wary of the fact that the device may overheat hence they want to use a magnesium alloy unibody design. Magnesium alloy is not only 2.8 times stronger than aluminum but also cooler than it. Heating issue is an area of concern with most manufacturers out there, hence Samsung plans to go extra careful this time with the magnesium body. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is reported to hit the market in the middle of 2016 in two variants using a Exynos SoC and another using a SD820 SoC.
